Presidential Primary Vote

Anyone who watches more than 5 minutes of news must know it has become an all out race & battle of the States to be among the "first" to hold a presidential primary or caucus...

Here's my thoughts... I don't think that New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina or Nevada should have the monopoly on who the leading candidate will be - they can only represent their own best interests - not the nations interests as a whole!

I think we need to have one national primary date with all states voting on this same date, with all citizens voting – not the political parties select few.

You should not be penalized just because you choose not sacrifice your entire life to the world of political intrigue.

So what do you think?

I agree! The media then uses these results as publicity that in turn effects the rest of the states because most people are followers. I feel that as a majority most people jump on the bandwagon and believe that if everyone else chose these candidates then they should vote for that candidate. I think the media today has too much control over the movements in not only politics. I wish people could pull together and voice their opinions and stop letting the media control everything.

I too would like to see a single national date for the primaries. Those states that have chosen to move their dates even earlier this year have been penalized though. They will have fewer votes at the convention and therefore will have less impact on who the party's nominee will be. The real issue of course is the media and their handlng of the process. The better nominees for both parties are likely currently considered as 2nd tier largely thanks to the media.
